A two-storey building of Saints Academy, Jos, Plateau State collapsed, on Friday, killing yet to be identified number of students and staff of the school.
It was learnt that students of Junior Secondary School (JSS) 1 to 2 were writing their final examinations with their teachers supervising them along with some non-teaching staff when the building collapse around 9.30am on Friday with many trapped.
One Joshua Thomas, who claimed he was around the area when the building collapsed, said that over 50 corpses of both the students and staff were removed when the unfortunate incident occurred, adding that the scene was too gory, forcing him to leave the spot.
As at the time of filing this report, it was learnt that some victims were allegedly still being trapped in the collapsed building.
However, some security personnel were on ground to cordon off the scene and prevent chaos.
